Falana couldn't let the year wrap up without making a statement.

The Toronto-raised Nigerian singer recently dropped the music video "Ride or Die"—her first single in 4 years—directed by Daniel Obasi.

The track highlights Falana's ability to stay in the pocket with afrobeat's elements of live instrumentation and catchy melodies, all the while making is clear that she's a loyal lover.

"'Ride Or Die' is song about a desire for intimacy, and sometimes our fear or inability to welcome it into our lives. We isolate ourselves despite attempts by even the most sincerest and truest love," Falana tells Clash Magazine. "No matter how much we smile and pretend like something isn't missing—we cannot thrive as human beings without intimacy...and it's a cold world."

As Falana struts through the National Theatre in the video, we can't get over the looks she dons that perfectly complement her signature hairstyle. You'll catch her wearing designs from Nigeria's own Orange Culture, Andrea Iyamah, I AM ISIGO and .
