Wangechi Mutu's Guide To 'A Fantastic Journey' At The Brooklyn Museum [Okayafrica TV]

A Fantastic Journey marks Kenyan visual artist Wangechi Mutu's first solo museum exhibition in the US. Spanning from the mid-90s to the present, the exhibition unites over 50 pieces from Wangechi's incredible body of work, including her signature collages depicting female figures and the Santigold-starring animated short film The End of Eating Everything. Wangechi recently took Okayafrica on a private tour at the Brooklyn Museum, where she guided us through A Fantastic Journey. Watch Wangechi discuss the role of sexuality in her art, her collaboration with Santigold, and "another chapter" in Kenya in the latest episode of Okayafrica TV. A Fantastic Journey runs at the Brooklyn Museum through March 9th.
