Thor Rixon x Inge Beckmann 'Misery Belle'

Cape Town's naas creative Thor Rixon makes his music debut with 'Misery Belle' featuring Inge Beckmann.

Thor Rixon x Inge Beckmann 'Misery Belle'

"Misery Bell," Cape Town artist Thor Rixon’s debut video is the latest chunky serving from the creative soup of the Mother City. Blending electronic music production with vocals, live action with animation, "Misery Belle" is a comfortable confluence of sights and sounds. If animated monster’s and Rixton's dreadlocked visage doesn't suffice, there's the piercing presence of Inge Beckman (Lark, Beast), offering her distinctive howl and sculpted jowl to the proceedings. "Misery Belle" is Rixon’s first video, produced by a branch of his creative collective naasFILMS– the same team behind Cutting Gems' "Tonight/Baby" and O'ltak's "Stars (Lemonade)"– and forms part of a follow-up to his debut album, last year’s Shared Folder (which you can download here). Tea Time Favourites is due out next Tuesday, 2 June. Until then, watch the first single below.
