For their 25th anniversary, Luaka Bop are prepping a series of documentary shorts about each artist on their label. In this recent one, we follow Sierra Leone's modern bubu king Janka Nabay to his current residence in Washington, DC, where he talks about "sticking with bubu music," moving to the U.S. over ten years ago and the events & people that eventually helped him land on the Luaka Bop roster.
