Ghana's Black Stars World Cup Theme

Ghana's Black Stars by Cristiano Siqueira.

Ghana's 'Black Stars' will be battling against the always feared Germany, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal and the United States in Group G, which many argue is this World Cup's true 'Group of Death.' The 'Black Stars,' ranked #37 in FIFA's World Rankings, will be looking towards the experience of players like box-t0-box midfielder Michael Essien,  Kevin Prince Boateng and striker Asamoah Gyan (the man responsible for the rise in popularity of the azonto dance) to guide them past their tough group stage.

Ghanaian pop singer Wiyaala, a previous finalist of Ghana's Stars Of The Future show, penned the most popular Black Stars-supporting song ahead of the tournament. "Go Go Black Stars... Goal!" builds on big stadium percussion and group choruses for a straightforward, yet effective, pop anthem. Watch the video for "Go Go Black Stars... Goal!" below.
