Femi Kuti 'The World Is Changing'

Femi Kuti aims to reimagine his afrobeat legacy in his upcoming album No Place For My Dream. "I knew I never wanted to be just like my father," he exclaims in a press release, "I was being groomed to be like my father, even in the way I dressed. That wasn't what I wanted. I needed something more challenging. I wanted to break away." In "The World Is Changing," the first single off the upcoming LP, Femi strikes a balance between father Fela's socio-political outspokenness and his own sonic vision. Watch the collage/lyric video for the single below and look out for No Place For My Dream dropping June 25 from Knitting Factory Records. For more, read our recent interview with Femi.
