TYLA+, the deluxe version of Tyla’s March-released debut album, brings fresh energy to the earlier LP. One of the newly added tracks is “Shake Ahh,” a speaker-bursting amapiano banger produced by Tony Duardo, mainly known for his string of hits with popular ‘piano DJ Uncle Waffles.

“Shake Ahh” is a unique offering in Tyla’s catalog, as it’s the most traditional amapiano song she’s dropped yet. Last month, while accepting the award for Best Afrobeats at the MTV VMAs, Tyla said she represents amapiano, and this new song delivers some evidence, even though there will be continued chatter on what her style of music is.

The other songs are “PUSH 2 START,” a mid-tempo cut influenced by Caribbean pop, and the sultry R&B affair on “BACK to YOU.”

With TYLA+ and subsequent events in the coming months, Tyla is looking to close out the year on a high. She’s performing at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this October and is nominated in four categories at the MTV EMAs happening in November. In December she’ll perform two concerts in South Africa, her first shows in her home country since the Grammy-winning “Water” made her a global sensation.
