Tiffany Haddish Wins Her First Emmy for Hosting Saturday Night Live

The Emmy's 2018 Creative Arts Awards were this past weekend, and it was a history-making moment for black talent.

Tiffany Haddish nabbed her first Emmy—Best Guest Actress in a Comedy—for her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live, Varietyreports.

Presenter Tichina Arnold accepted her award on Haddish's behalf as she could not attend Saturday's ceremony.

"Tiffany couldn't be here tonight. But, guess what, Tiffany! I've got your award girl!" Arnold jokes.

With Haddish leading the way, this year marks the first time all four trophies for the guest actor categories have gone to black performers.

Along with her win, Ron Cephas Jones won Best Guest Actor in a Drama for This Is Us, Samira Wiley won Best Guest Actress in a Drama for The Handmaid's Tale and Katt Williams snagged Best Guest Actor in a Comedy for Atlanta.
