Tekno Signs Record Deal With Sony Music

Tekno's had quite the year with the massive success of "Pana" and his recent win at the MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Breakthrough Act.

Well, it looks like his 2016's only getting better.

Reports state that the Nigerian singer recently inked a deal with Sony Music, confirming rumors that have been going around for a month ever since he was spotted at the company's New York offices.

Video of the signing was posted by One Africa Music Fest and Upfront & Personal CEO Paul Okoye.

Tekno re-shared the same signing video to his Instagram but has generally kept mum about the deal. The details of the deal are still unconfirmed.

The Sony signing follows the success of "Pana," as well as previous hits like "Wash" and "Duro," and will see Tekno joining the larger Sony family alongside the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Alikiba.
