Red Hot + FELA Live! At Lincoln Center

Back in July we hosted the live stream for Red Hot + FELA! Live from Lincoln Center, a marathon night that kept the spirit of Fela Kuti alive through a good time union of Afrobeat and indie. The OKA-approved lineup included the likes of Sahr Ngaujah (star of FELA! On Broadway), Fela's master drummer and pioneer of afrobeat percussion Tony Allen, Congolose/Belgian lyricist Baloji, Sudanese afro-indiedarling Sinkane, Angelique Kidjo, Dead Prez's M1, Sierra Leone’s finest frontman Bajah (of Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew), Rubblebucket’s Alex Toth, and super-group Superhuman Happiness — which unites members of Antibalas, tUnE-yArDs, and Iron + Wine. Now, in a month packed with Fela-related news and birthday celebration, the Lincoln Center has released video from the monumental night. Watch the ENTIRE performance of Red Hot + FELA LIVE! below.
