Petite Noir Releases The VHS Visuals For 'Chess'

As we recently reported, South African ‘noir wave’ producer Petite Noir (aka Yannick Illunga) is readying the release of his 5-track The King Of Anxiety EP. Today, he's sharing the music video for lead track "Chess," an enrapturing slow-burner that blooms from striking falsetto verses into full-fledged post-punk & electronic progression. The VHS-shot visuals for the single, directed by East London filmmaker Cieron Magat, were inspired by Ghanaian photographer Philip Kwame Apagya's chromogenic print portraits. Watch the Hackney-shot video for "Chess" below via Dazed Digital. Petite Noir's The King Of Anxiety EP will be available soon on Domino Records/Double6.
