Syrian-born Boshra al Saadi's jams play like synth-drenched concoctions of future pop melodies and Caribbean rhythms. In "Below the Waist," the opening track off her Take It Easy EP, Saadi reinterprets Queen Ifrica's sultry tune by bathing it with distorted keys and delayed guitars, all while keeping its original dub backbone. Saadi's Take It Easy EP is out now via Red Bud Records.
