This Is What Mr Eazi's New York City Concert Looked Like

Mr Eazi is the artist connecting the sounds of Nigeria and Ghana like no one else right now.

Signed to Wizkid's Starboy label, his latest mixtape Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos has him buzzing on both sides of the Atlantic as one of the fastest rising new stars of in the afrobeats scene.

The Ghanaian-based Nigerian singer and songwriter played a special special Ghana at 60 Independence concert at New York City over the weekend, his first major stop on his North American tour.

The freezing cold didn't stop fans filling the PlayStation Theater to see Mr Eazi live in action. The easy-going crooner, backed by a live band, shut the stage down and vibed with a crowd that knew his songs word for word, from "Sample You" and his newest hit, "Leg Over," to the ever romantic "Ohema."

Mr Eazi has no shame towing the line of his cultural identity, he is truly both Nigerian and Ghanaian, which was evident with a crowd mixed with folks from both countries. The singer took a moment to quell the noise around the debate by saying, "At the end of the day, we're all human beings."
