Juls' new single is the perfect track to smooth over your weekend.

"Maayaa," featuring Tiggs Da Author and Santi, is in keeping with Juls' running purpose of providing the vibes with substance. In this case, "Maayaa" is twofold: a dedication to the late and great Dr. Maya Angelou (as well as a nod to Thursday borns), and a declaration of honoring the strong, black woman.

"[Dr. Maya Angelou] was a woman of hope and amazing character—confident, a miniature of love and affection, an essence of creativity," he shares in a statement. "She was unapologetic in her writing and her thoughts. Always spoke her mind."

"My new record 'Maayaa' is dedicated to every bold black woman [who is] never embarrassed or ashamed to boast about their success and achievements, confident in their own skin and never scared to speak their mind."

He adds that the coming visuals for the track will reflect and express the power and strength of black women.
