Estelle's new album is one your ears can't miss.

The West London-raised artist who originally hails from Senegal and Grenada tapped into sankofa (looking to the past to inform the future) and returned to her roots with her concept album, Lovers Rock.

Estelle weaves dancehall, reggae, soca and afrobeats to tell her parents' love story—which should honestly be developed into a rom-com—in 14 tracks. As she details with NPR, her parents ended their relationship when she was 3-years-old and reconnected 20 years later. After another decade, they married when Estelle was 33.

"They've been needing to be together their whole lives and just had a different path to get back to each other," she says in her interview with NPR.

Standout tracks to closely listen to include "Meet Up" with Maleek Berry, "Don't Wanna" featuring Kranium, "Really Want" with Konshens and Nick + Navi and "Queen" featuring Chronixx.
