Kahli Abdu & VHS Safari's 'Journey' EP

Jos, Nigeria-born rapper Kahli Abdu and Brooklyn-based production team VHS Safari follow their debut album A.R.T. Project with Journey. The self-produced 3-track EP, which was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, fleshes out the group's sound, bringing in live drums and additional instrumentation to their productions. "Be A Body" features a Grimes sample, while "Doin My Thing" and "Fear Fear Factor" are remixes of previous Abdu tracks, the latter of which is an interpolation of Fela Kuti's "Fear Not For Man." The album's cover artwork, seen above, was crafted by our own DJ Underdog. Stream our premiere of Journey, being released ahead of Kahli Abdu & VHS Safari's first trip to Nigeria as a group, below and, for more, revisit their debut full-length A.R.T. Project.
