OkayAfrica and ONYCHEK Team Up For "WhatWeWear," a Fashion Pop-Up

If you're in the NYC area, and looking for crisp, quality threads by African designers—look no further. OkayAfrica has teamed up with ONYCHEK for "WhatWeWear," a fashion pop-up for the fashion-minded amongst us, looking to stay fresh while supporting designers from the continent.

ONYCHEK is an online retailer offering luxurious pieces from leading African designers with a focus on "conscious consumption."

"Our focus is on companies that maximize value addition in the region by boosting employment of local suppliers, craftsmen, and manufacturers,” ONYCHEK founder Chekwas Okafor told OkayAfrica earlier this year.

“In the same way, consumers look to France or Italy for high-quality goods, I hope they begin to look to Africa."

We invite you to come check out luxury garb by Africans for Africans at our very own Okay Space Gallery from September 9-11.

Come get fly with us and enjoy some wine while you shop! You can RSVP for the event here. Check below for a full list of labels that will be available for purchase. Merchandise from OkayAfrica's African AF line will also be available on-site.
