IVORY COAST—Fashion designer Laetitia Ky has taken braid art to the next level. Using a mixture of thread, fabric, wire, and wool, the budding artist has come up with jaw-dropping hair sculptures inspired by traditional African hairstyles.


“They were really impressive and artistic. It made me want to use hairstyling as a means of expression,” she says in a NowThis video.

The 21-year-old can sculpt just about anything you can think of. From a map of Africa to hands strumming a guitar. Have a look at some of her creations below:
