2manysiblings' Thrift Social Returns to Nairobi This Sunday (26 June)

2manysiblings brought their Thrift Social to the UK for the first time last week in conjunction with the Fashion Cities Africa exhibition at the Brighton Museum. As we mentioned, this month’s Thrift Social is a special two-part, two-city edition. The style, music and art event returns to Nairobi this Sunday, 26 June. Okayafrica is excited to be on board as a media partner.

Kenyan brother and sister Papa Petit and Velma Rossa launched the Thrift Social event series last year as a platform to promote young creative entrepreneurs while encouraging their peers to give back to the local community. In addition to shopping with some of the flyest vendors in Nairobi, attendees are encouraged to bring clothes and shoes to be donated to the Jacaranda School for the mentally handicapped.

Thrift Social 6 goes down this Sunday (12pm-7pm) at Nairobi’s Privée Westlands (first floor) in Woodvale Grove, Westlands. Kung’ara, Stadz Outfitz and My Couture Kenya will all be in the house. More to be announced soon. Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
