Ethiopia’s 'Selam Festival Addis' Through The Lens Of Aida Muluneh

Ethiopia’s fifth-ever Selam Festival Addis went down over the weekend at Ghion Hotel Unity Park despite a cancellation from headliner Yasiin Bey and the threat of heavy rain. Award-winning Addis Ababa-based photographer Aida Muluneh was on the ground to capture the festival for Okayafrica, from Ethiopian legend Mahmoud Ahmed’s powerful Saturday night performance to Burundi-born, French-Rwandan rapper Gaël Faye and Rwandan-born DJ Eric Soul‘s Sunday set just before heavy rainfall forced the festival to head indoors.
