Zawgaty Wal-Kalb (My Wife and the Dog, 1971)

Director: Said Marzouk

In this classic film about unwarranted jealousy, Mursi suspects his wife Soad of having a torrid affair with his coworker Noor. Before their marriage, Mursi lived a more promiscuous lifestyle, causing him to assume that all men, including Noor, were like him. While on a night shift, Mursi sends Noor to pick up some things from his home. When Noor returns, Mursi starts suspecting Noor of taking advantage of his wife. His life becomes a daily nightmare as he constantly imagines his wife and co-worker are making a fool out of him.
