Davido proved how much he loves his New York fans at his Madison Square Garden show last night in a huge way. One fan displayed a placard with the inscription: “Davido, take my student loan debt ‘away.’” And he did just that, pledging $50,000 to the fan. Throughout the evening, seats all over the massive stadium stayed filled to the brim — ready to see the Nigerian performer put on a fantastic show. Hit songs like “If” and “KANTE” had the crowd dancing and moving all night long.

Between special guest performances, dazzling outfit changes, and jaw-dropping pyrotechnics against a New York City-inspired set, Davido made sure to entertain his audience. The concert was produced by Duke Concept, who had previously brought Burna Boy to Madison Square Garden. Nigeria was definitely in the house, too, with appearances from Zlatan, Teni, Young Jonn, and Fave. Their performances were energetic, and they all meshed extremely well with the vibe that Davido brought to the stage. Ghanaian artist, Stonebwoy, also found himself a part of the festivities last night, proudly representing his country.

It wouldn’t be a show in the Garden without some New York natives on the stage. Brooklyn native, Fabolous made a special appearance, serenading the audience with his fan-favorite song, “Into You.” Bronx-born Capella Grey also showed up to perform his hit song, “GYALIS,” which had the whole audience singing their hearts out. The internet’s current favorite producer, Cash Cobain, also made his way to the stage to perform his viral song, “Fisherrr,” adding the perfect NYC vibes to an already great night.
