Chimurenga Renaissance Share Zimbabwe-Shot Video For 'They Pray In Vain'


Chimurenga Renaissance, the project from Shabazz Palaces‘ Tendai ‘Baba’ Maraire and Hussein Kalonji, recently shared the Zimbabwe-shot video for "They Pray In Vain," a highlight off their  debut riZe Vadzimu riZe LP. The cinematic Kyle Seago-directed visuals for the single cycle through slow spans of Maraire rapping in backyards with friends and driving around to the backdrop of some striking Zim scenery. Chimurenga Renaissance's debut full-length, a 14-track collection of hip-hop & electronic beats paired with ngoma, mbira and hosho instrumentation, is available now on vinyl/MP3 and custom wooden USB stick.
