Audio: Papa Ghana's 'I Am An African' Remix Tape


Papa Ghana's debut single “I Am An African” blew us away to the extent that we quickly picked the Dutch-raised, Ghanaian-rooted, genre-defying musician as an An African Minute feature. The 23 year-old student and aspiring fashion designer just released the I Am An African Remix Tape, a completely free collection of five remixes created by artists from all over the globe including Chansa, Mo Laudi and L'Afrique Som Systeme. The standout track here though is from NYC’s Fore, who simplifies the original joint’s drum track down to a driving techno rhythm and then unleashes a relentless flow over the top. Grab the full EP below.
