Kay-Ara is a Ghanaian rapper with ties to Okayafrica homies M3nsa and Wanlov, aka FOKN Bois. The freshman MC's first official single "Me Dough," featuring freestyle murdererYaa Pono and pidgin rap pioneer Lil Shaker, has been making waves in Accra.

The track's bass heavy beat rests on a sampled/looped refrain ("Me ko gye me dough") which roughly translates to "I'm gonna get my dough." But, as Kay-Ara recently told Akwaaba's Benjamin Lebrave, "the song is not just about money but about respect, as much about collecting your money as it is collecting your dues."

If Kay keeps releasing stompers like this he'll definitely be collecting dues as one of Ghana's rap heavyweights. Listen to "Me Dough" below, and then DOWNLOAD here.
