Afrobeats fans are in for a treat as Asake announces a forthcoming tour. Dubbed the Lungu Boy World Tour, the 10-dates will take the Nigerian superstar across North America and Europe, in support of his third album — Lungu Boy — which will be out later this summer.

Produced by Live Nation, the first stop will come on August 16 at the Capital One Arena at Washington DC, before going on to other prestigious venues and wrapping up at Zenith in Paris, on September 28.

With the chance to sell out huge arenas such as Madison Square Garden, Asake again underlines himself as one of the biggest Afrobeats exports currently. His exciting sound and the magnetism in his style has combined to make him a superstar in the past few years, and the Lungu Boy World Tour only embodies an ethos that’s been in practice for a while now.

The timing is great, too. After his sophomore album Work of Art racked up over a billion streams in four months after its last year release, the artist went on to make his late night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

This year Asake has been on a great feature run, appearing on Victony’s “Stubborn” and turning up for the ladies, dropping two stellar verses on Ayra Starr’s “Goodbye (Warm Up)” and Tems’ “Get It Right” while being recently sighted in Lagos with the U.K. rap sensation Central Cee.

Given his wide sonic sensibilities, there’s no telling where Asake might turn on his next album. This forthcoming tour places emphasis on his globe-trotting activities, and if previous performances at the O2 Arena and Barclays Center are anything to go by, then concert-goers are in for a good time, courtesy of Mr. Money.
