Beninese-French singer and songwriter Angélique Kidjo, recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the world’s most influential people, and a multi-Grammy winning act, has launched her latest single, “Sunlight To My Soul" today under Parlophone.

The song, co-written with acclaimed songwriter American Diane Warren and produced by Nigerian afrobeats sensation Shizzi, blends African rhythms with the uplifting voices of the Soweto Gospel Choir.

This collaboration marks Kidjo’s first project with Diane Warren, known for her numerous Oscar nominations. The song’s music video features vibrant dance scenes and heartfelt moments, complementing the song's themes of inspiration and joy.

Kidjo’s career has spanned genres from West African traditions to American R&B and jazz. Her 2021 album, Mother Nature, boasted collaborations with artists like Burna Boy and Yemi Alade. With numerous Grammy-winning records under her belt, including 2014’s EVE 2019’s Celia, Kidjo continues to innovate.
