Maame Biney Is a Tour de Force As She Qualifies for the 500m Quarterfinal

The Ghanaian-American will be the only Olympian representing the US at her next race Tuesday.

In case you need to catch up on this weekend's exciting events at the Winter Olympics, you can't miss Maame Biney's performance as she qualifies for the 500m women's speedskating quarterfinal.

Watch the last half of the race below.

Biney finished second with a time of 43.665 seconds, and managed to ward off pressure from Korea's Kim A-Lang. Her teammate, Lana Gehring, did not advance to the next round.

Biney's next race is Tuesday, Feb. 13.
