Skales Enlists Falz and Harmonize for New Track 'Oliver Twist II Remix'

Nigerian artistSkalesshares a massive new remix of his single "Oliver Twist," featuring Nigerian rapper Falzand Tanzanian singerHarmonize.

The track notably features co-production from legendary R&B and hip hop producer Teddy Riley."I had been in talks with Teddy Riley since my last trip to London," Skales tells OkayAfrica about how the collaboration with the veteran producer came to be. "We've been sharing ideas about music. So when I made Oliver Twist with the original producer, TMXO, I sent it to him to give it a listen. He did and decided to add his Midas touch to it too."

The remix features more smooth, atmospheric production, but still maintains the original's catchy, dance-worthy feel throughout. "'Oliver Twist' is simply about craving the love and attention of a love interest," says Falz when describing the track.

"It represents situations where you just want more of your lover. It's like the more you love the person, the more you want to love the person. I decided to bring my brothers Falz and Harmonize from Tanzania to share their perspective on this remix. They killed it for sure.

The remix comes with a vibrant new music video starring the three artists, shot in Lagos. "Oliver Twist II Remix" is the first single from an upcoming project from Skales, set to drop later this year, according to the artist's YouTube page.
