Watch Joeboy's New Music Video 'All For You'
The buzzing Nigerian artist shares his latest single from his debut EP 'Love & Light.'
Rising artist Joeboy shares his new song and video "All For You," one of the standout tracks from his debut EP Love & Light.
The track follows the release of the artist's breakout singles "Baby" and "Beginning," and sees the artist dealing with a love interest who's facing an abusive partner.
"The song is basically about a girl in a relationship plagued by domestic violence," says Joeboy of the song and video. "The girl ends up falling in love with someone else who actually treats her right and therefore she ends up breaking up with her boyfriend because of him. It's a twisted love story between a girl and two guys."
The music video sees the artist taking on the role wholeheartedly, even featuring a fight scene where Joeboy confronts the abusive boyfriend. The video ends with Joeboy and his love interest together in a colorful and empty shop, enjoy one another's company.
The video was directed by TG Omori, under Mr Eazi's "emPawa" initiative for rising African artists. "emPawa plays a very important role in my music career," Joeboy told OkayAfrica in an interview last November. He also spoke more about the inspiration behind his project Love & Light. "The main inspiration behind the songs on the new EP is just the idea of love and happy music, happiness," said the artist. "Music that you listen to and just gets you hyped up and makes you feel good inside."
Earlier this month, Joeboy won a Soundcity MVP award for "Best Pop."
