Vibe to Young Paris’ New EP 'African Vogue'
Charismatic Brooklyn performer Young Paris brings 10 danceable tracks to the masses.
Perfectly timed with #AfricaDay2016, Congolese-turned-Brooklynite Young Paris has dropped his EP African Vogue.
The 10-track tape, co-produced by Ben Bronfman, arrives a few days ahead of Young Paris’ guest appearance at EVERYDAY AFRIQUE rooftop bash, which is also doubling as African Vogue’s official record release party, at Output on Memorial Day.
With lyrics like "that melanin, we’re winnin" on track “Your Wine,” Paris aims to celebrate the new African wave sweeping the music industry, and beyond.
"African Vogue symbolizes the influence we Africans have on pop culture and touches on parts on my life being African in America,” Paris tells The Fader of his synth-heavy, and surely dance-inducing project. “It’s wild 'cause growing up we were laughed at, and now we're being praised. This tape is all about that praise."
