Urbane Hangeris an up-and-coming menswear and lifestyle blog based in Lagos, Nigeria. The site's latest editorial feature, Good Morning Lagos, was shot at the Independence Tunnel in Maryland, Lagos, and captures site founder (and 1/2 of the dapper Biker Gents of Lagos) Oluwapelumi Alabi doing some urban exploring in a thrifted cream two piece suit and a pair of red lace-up Oxfords as the city wakes up. The photo series captures the muted hues of the thoroughfare in the early morning hours and the vibrant urgency of the bustling metropolis as danfo buses and commercial trucks whiz by. Alabi told us over e-mail that his ultimate objective for the blog is to tell stories through style, and for Good Morning Lagos he writes:
While growing up in this mushrooming urban center, I have learned to love the city in spite of itself. Despite the challenges, thousands of new residents are still drawn to the city weekly, mainly because of its commerce, dynamic culture and the spirit of its people. Life in Lagos is vibrant, colourful and, among all else, full of opportunities.
