Pseudarhythm, Vol. 2 album artwork.
In his Pseudarhythm series, Khartoum-based beatmaker Sufyvn flips and samples an array of Sudanese instrumentals into hip-hop head bangers.
The seven tracks on the producer’s latest Pseudarhythm, Vol. 2 play like a hazy, mind-bending exploration of classic Sudanese soundscapes through a hip-hop lens. Sufvyn chops up several traditional Sudanese folk melodies, masterfully laying them over kicks and snares to create some buttery beats.
