Stromae Shares The Video For 'Quand C'est?'
Stromae confronts the hardships of cancer in the black-and-white music video for "Quand C'est?," the latest single from 'Racine Carrée'
Stromae has released the black-and-white music video for "Quand C'est?," the latest single from his album Racine Carrée. The somber song deals with the hardships of cancer and the new Xavier Reyé-directed visuals show the Belgian pop star contorting his body on a theater's stage to get away from the disease's shadowy reach. He eventually fails and joins an endless, complex maze of other victims. The song's title is a clever play on words as "Quand C'est?" translates to "When Is It?" and phonetically sounds like the disease's name in Stromae's refrain — "Cancer, cancer, just tell me when / Cancer, cancer, who's the next one?"
Stromae is currently on a 10-stop North American tour which will see him headline Madison Square Garden in October alongside Janelle Monáe and Jidenna. Stromae's Racine Carrée LP — which also includes "Papaoutai,""Carmen,""Ave Cesaria,""Ta Fête," and other hits — is available now.
