Belgian-born, Rwandan-rooted pop artist Stromaedrops the animated visuals for "Carmen," the latest single off 2013's hit-packed Racine CarréeLP. The music video, directed by the Triplets of Belleville and The Illusionist animator Sylvain Chomet, chronicles an animated Stromae's barreling addiction to social media and followers, as represented by the constant and ominous presence of a certain blue bird on his shoulder. “In 1875 Georges Bizet compared love to a rebellious bird.” Stromae tells BuzzFeed, “140 years later (and in 140 characters-messages) love is a blue bird.” Catch Stromae on his expansive North American and European tour dates listed in full below.
