DJ Moma & Guy Furious remix Rihanna
Everyday People's DJ Momaand Guy Furious have your long weekend on lock with their 5-track remix drop The Rih-Fix.
As the title implies, the two DJ/producers take some of Rihanna's recent hits—including "Needed Me," "Sex With Me," "Pour It Up," and others—into some serious "Afro-step" territory by injecting them with all new flavors and syncopated rhythms ripe for any dance floor.
Young Paris shows "No Weakness"
Roc Nation signee Young Paris returns with the self-directed music video for "No Weakness," which will be added as a bonus track to the re-release of his African Vogue EP.
“'No Weakness' is all about motivation," Young Paris mentions. "I directed this video after being inspired by a kid on YouTube; Demarjay Smith with his famous “Strength no Weakness” tagline, and wanted to use my platform to translate that powerful slogan to a larger audience. We live in a time where weakness is not permitted. We need strength, we need leadership and we need role models. This video emphasizes three men who will never give up."
Juls connects with L.A.X
East London-based Ghanaian DJ and producer Julscomes through with "Give You Love," a festive and romantic joint featuring Nigeria's L.A.X.
The new track, which is built on some addictive guitar riffs and smooth beat work, drops just in time for wedding season "The song definitely depicts traditional wedding vibes with love being the main concept," Juls mentions.
"Give You Love" will feature on Juls' upcoming LP, A-Listed, slated to drop next year.
Boskasie's "Weak In Love"
South African singer Boskasie's "Weak In Love" is a subtle and fragile electronic concoction that creeps into your spine. The song's minimalist production leaves plenty space for the Cape Town-based artist's voice to stand out with its brokenhearted delivery.
Boskasie mentions: “Upon writing this song, there were three things going through my mind: why do we love, why does love hurt sometimes and why do we feel the need to guard ourselves when we love.”
