Sister Deborah Continues to Stoke the #JollofWar with Humorous Visual for ‘Ghana Jollof’ Anthem
Can the African mermaid claim victory for Ghana in the ongoing #JollofWar?
Sister Deborah just served her video for the ultimate “Ghana Jollof” anthem.
Two months ago, she offered up the bouncy afrotrap single, produced by Kuvie, aiming to settle the ongoing #JollofWar, raging among West African countries, particularly Ghana and Nigeria.
The Ghanaian model and music artist premiered the humorous, Prince Dovlo-directed music video live on 4syte TV Tuesday, which has cameos from Lady Jay and Nikki Samonas.
In it, Sister Deborah, who knows how to whip up controversy with a single like “Uncle Obama,” disses Nigerian jollof, calling it “snow white,” a tongue-in-cheek reference to Nigeria’s tomato shortage.
The scantily clad African mermaid goes for the jugular, suggesting sarcastically that the real reason Nigerian jollof is inferior to Ghanaian jollof is because twerking men dressed in drag, including her brother Wanlov of Ghanaian rap duo FOKN Bois, have made it.
The new video is quite a spectacle—have a taste for yourself at the top.
