Rotimi Is Set To Star in Mauritius-Shot Romantic Comedy 'Singleholic'
The Nigerian-American "Power" star is moving on to funnier things.
We all know him as Darius Morrison from Starz series, Boss, and Andre Coleman on the currently trending Starz's drama, Power. Now he's expanding his repertoire and dabbling into stories with a lighter tone.
Nigerian-American actor, model and singer, Olurotimi "Rotimi"Akinosho, will star in the romantic comedy, Singleholic, adapted from the novel by teacher, blogger, and writer, Katherine Birbalsingh (Bing), Varietyreports.
The film is helmed by Bing herself, who wrote the screenplay, along with producer Milan Selassie (Back to School Mom), and director, Bryan Barber (Idlewild, and the upcoming sci-fi film, Gigantor).
One of the most exciting elements about Singelholic, besides being able to see Rotimi in a comedy, is that it is currently being filmed in the beautiful country of Mauritius.
Rotimi will play the love interest of American actor, Erica Ash, who goes on a serial dating journey after suddenly deciding she wants to settle down.
Rotimi is on a roll, having just finished shooting the series, A Luv Tale, starring Vanessa Williams, Sheria Irving, and other great talents. Not only is Rotimi the lead in the series, but he also serves as executive producer.
