OKA Premiere: Blink 'World Wide Flow'
Last time we heard Naija-American rapper Blink he was taking listeners on a lyrical Learjet to Lagos. His debut album The World is Small got a lot of love for its mix of high-concept humor and cross-continent appeal, and left us with the impression that it wouldn’t be long before we heard from him again. Well it seems that Blink’s been stacking up the frequent flyer miles, because our intrepid traveler is off again, this time with a new single called “World Wide Flow”.
The confident flow remains and, as always, Blink retains an ear for deceptively complex beats. For this latest project he employed the assistance of Mr. B New, one of Chicago’s most ambitious young producers, who combines digitized ethereal singing with what sounds like NES sound effects for the backing kicks on "World Wide Flow."
Blink is set to debut his latest project, American Dreams/African Principles, Nov. 1st. Stream "World Wide Flow" below!
