OgaSilachi blends “afrobeats” with R&B sounds in his latest single “Leona.” The New York City-shot music video for the track, directed by Roarin Lion, is a subway story about finding love in unexpected places.
"Leona is a beautiful love song made for the strong minded woman,” OgaSilachi explains in an e-mail to Okayafrica. “As the name suggests, Leona represents the strong-minded and lioness like attitude these women exude. These are the women who through each upset still manage to make things work in their favor."
