Make Music New York is a live, free musical celebration across the city that takes place each June 21st (tomorrow people!), the official longest day of the year. On that day, hundreds of public spaces throughout the five boroughs become impromptu concerts for over 1,000 different performances. This year one of the performances will be by Brooklyn based, and Ghanaian born singer/songwriter Osekre and his band the Lucky Bastards. They will take the stage at 1:00 PM at Joe's Pub on Tuesday, June 21. Osekre has a unique blend of African melodies and rhythms with instrumentation that is highly influenced by his current home in Brooklyn.
