NYC: Honor Lumumba With Friends Of The Congo [1/16]
Event honoring Congolese independence hero Patrice Lumumba on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 7 pm, at the Lair NYC Lounge.
On Wednesday January 16 at Lair NYC Lounge, Friends of the Congo (FOTC) in collaboration with Okayafrica, Etienne DeYans at Tapis Rouge, and Applause Africa, will host a celebratory evening honoring the legacy of Congolese anti-colonial leader and inaugural Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba. Toni Blackman will host the evening with live performances and short film screenings, which will also serve as a fundraiser for the Congo Connect Youth Imitative. Check out the details below:
