Listen to Skepta's New Single from His Upcoming Album, 'Bullet From A Gun'
Skepta reflects on his personal experiences in this pensive track.
Skepta has dropped a new, pensive single weeks away from the release of his new album, Ignorance Is Bliss.
In "Bullet From A Gun," the Nigerian-British grime star raps about a good number of personal experiences and the lessons gleaned from them—from facing one's demons regardless of how much wealth one builds, having a better understanding of his father, not trusting the police, his daughter and more.
Skepta also co-produced the track with Ragz Originale, The Faderreports.

The rapper also touches on his experiences visiting his grandfather's grave and learning the meaning of his Yoruba name: "I was a young boy / mom told me what my name really means and the power just kicked in."
He was given a chieftaincy title that he also touches on in "Bullet From A Gun"—"Amuludun of Odo Aje," translating as "Chief Entertainer of Odo Aje"—back in April 2018. Read more on that moment here.
Ignorance Is Bliss offcially drops May 31.
