It's Insta-official: Linda Ikeji is engaged.

Rumors of a proposal have been swirling in Nigerian media for several months, but it was the blogger's sister who confirmed the news yesterday. Sandra Ikeji posted a photo of Linda with a caption that read: "So happy for you sweet sis! This tells me that sometimes the wait is worth it. Can't wait to plan your special day!"

Linda's other sister, social media influencer Laura Ikeji, posted a photo of the two soon afterwards, with the captain: "Congrats Linlin".

Among those wishing their congratulations was Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu, who wrote captioned a photo with: "Congratulations to our very own Linda Ikeji for ticking one of the important boxes every woman has piled up on her list; as she got engaged to her heartthrob!" She added: "I can't wait to fill my tummy up with the rice o, so don't keep us waiting too long... We just can't wait!!!"

The blogger seems to be maintaining her silence about the proposal, but that hasn't stopped fans from showing their love, support and relief over the news. For several years, followers of Ikeji had been relentlessly asking her if and when she would decide to tie the knot, even leading to tweets and memes mocking her single status.
