John Boyega and Letitia Wright to Star In Upcoming Sci-Fi Love Story 'Hold Back the Stars'

Black sci-fi and romance lovers, rejoice.
None other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega and Black Panther standout Letitia Wright will star opposite one another in the upcoming film Hold Back the Stars, based on Katie Khan's 2017 novel by the same name. According to Variety, the film is being describes as "Romeo and Juliet meets Gravity."
Mike Cahill will direct the film, and Christy Hallis the scriptwriter.

Trapped in the vast void of space, Carys and Max have only 90 minutes of oxygen left to live. None of this was supposed to happen. After a freak accident, Carys and Max are left adrift in space with nothing to hold onto but each other. As they fall, they can't help but look back at the world they left behind. A world whose rules they couldn't submit to, a place where they never really belonged; a home they're determined to get back to because they've come too far to lose each other now. While their air ticks dangerously low, one is offered the chance of salvation—but who will take it?
It might be a bit early to call, but we're pretty much already sold on this one, especially with Boyega and Wright—two of the biggest stars to emerge from two of the most groundbreaking sci-fi and fantasy film's in recent years—as leads.

Just imagine the two playing young, star-crossed lovers using their bond to help them survive in an increasingly complex universe—as you can tell, we're pretty excited for this one.
