Last week Saturday, South African president Jacob Zuma visited Nigeria to "strengthen socio-economic relations and deepen cooperation in education" between the two countries.

While visiting Nigeria's Imo State, Zuma was honored with giant bronze statue of him. Most people (from both South Africa and Nigeria), who expressed their views on Twitter, aren't so sure why the gift was necessary.

But it didn't stop there, as Nigeria further honored Zuma by naming a street after him and governor of the Imo State, Mr Owelle Okorocha bestowed on Zuma the Imo Merit Award.

The Imo Merit Award honors distinguished personalities who develop their communities.

Everyone is wondering why.
