'DC Afrobeat Arts Festival: Fela!' With Rich Medina & DJ Underdog

In honor of the late, great afrobeat founder Fela Kuti, Okayafrica's go-to spinner DJ Underdog is presentingDC Afrobeat Arts Festival:Fela!, a one-night celebration featuring veteran selector and Jump N Funk founder Rich Medina. The all night-event will take place on Fela's birthday, October 15th, at Liv Nightclub in the nation's capital. It'll be hosted by jazz singer/composer Akua Allrich and will also feature DC-based acts such as afro-jazz band Eme & Heteru, percussion orchestra Farafina Kan, Jahsonic, and more to be announced.
