Watch Elaine Break Down Her Viral Single ‘You're the One’
South African R&B artist Elaine speaks about the inspiration behind her viral hit 'You're the One' on Apple Music's Song Stories.
Rising South African R&B artist Elaine recently broke down the meaning behind her song "You are the One" as part of Apple Music's Song Stories series.
"I was just trying to highlight the fact that being open and honest in relationships is so important….it doesn't get any deeper than that," says the artist in the clip.
She continues later on in the video, "'I know you are the one,' I mean it doesn't get any deeper than that. Imagine someone telling you that you are the one. There are so many people in the world, and yet you are the one. That's why I even made it the title of the song 'cause to me it was like, that's crazy, I'm actually telling someone they are the one."
"You're the One" is a single from the artist's 2019 EP Elements. The song and the project went viral last year, and Elaine has been busking in the spotlight. She was one of the most talked about new South Africa artists of 2019.
