Christian Tiger School's 'Chorisolo' Video Pairs Dogs & Open Landscapes
Christian Tiger School share the new video 'Chorisolo', the first single of their upcoming Tommy Boy debut LP 'Chrome Tapes'.
Recent Tommy Boy Entertainment signees Christian Tiger School have just shared a new video for "Chorisolo," the first single off their sophomore album Chrome Tapes, which is due in June. The Cape Town-based duo first garnered attention with their tasteful blend of hazy, L.A. beat scene-inspired hip-hop sounds. The group's new Chrome Tapes LP promises further explorations in production with the incorporation of techno, house and experimental elements into their already signature sound.
Christian Tiger School's new video for "Chorisolo," directed by Christopher Bisset and Ross Hillier, similarly departs from the expected by completely ignoring W.C. Fields' age-old rule in film to "never work with animals or children." At first glance, a video of dogs running in various open landscapes seems pretty ordinary. However, combined with the driving four-on-the-floor beat and ambient textures of "Chorisolo," the visual transforms into a pleasantly hypnotic experience. Watch the video for "Chorisolo" below and check out our recent interview with Christian Tiger School members Luc Vermeer and Sebastian Zanasi on their Tommy Boy Entertainment debut Chrome Tapes.
