Cameroonian R&B Singer Mballa's Debut Video For 'Bad Decisions'
Cameroonian R&B singer Mballa debuts the visuals for her first single " Bad Decisions," produced by Will Wildfire.
Cameroonian singer and songwriter Mballa recently shared her music video debut for "Bad Decisions." The straight-up R&B track sees the young singer paying tribute to her father Jerome Mendouga, a former ambassador of Cameroon, who passed away late last year. "He passed this November, after which I decided to face my fears and chase childhood dreams of making music," she mentions. Born in Paris and hailing from Washington, D.C., Mballa channels hip-hop, reggae and Haitian zouk elements (she cites Lauryn Hill, Beyoncé, Nneka and Vybz Kartel as influences) through an R&B lens, something we can expect to hear more of on her upcoming project Never Leave Quietly. The video for "Bad Decisions" opens over a bonfire party where Mballa contemplates whether or not she should make a move with a love interest. Sharp and quick drum patterns float around the song but it's Mballa's sultry vocals that drive much of the track into a smooth R&B number. Watch Mballa and her love triangle story pan out below in "Bad Decisions, " produced by North Carolina's Will Wildfire.
